my practice

My landscape practice evolves through close consideration of landscape histories, contexts and images and addresses themes such as memory, revival, endurance and change through close consideration of the natural world. My projects often begin with art historical research and evolve into visual, social and educational projects which make use of a variety of media including photography, mark making, installation, concept planting, collecting and the act of walking itself. I see my work and education projects as a means of protecting and honouring fragile landscapes and communities through our earth crisis and socially disconnected times.
