Looking does not change; walk around Venice and on a clear day you can see the Dolomites, not only from high view points in the city, but at street level. Views from the Fondamente Nuove or the Sestiere Castello are particularly striking if the horizon is clear, implying that Bellini may not have had to have travelled outside of Venice to achieve his horizon.
